Living in Massachusetts kind of sucks when it comes to buying produce. We have some farmer's markets, but most don't open until May and only stay open for a few months. I try not to buy too much produce from regular grocery stores. I like to go to a fruit and vegetable stand that is only a few miles down the road. They are open year-round and sell a lot of seasonal food. I guess it's semi-seasonal. I know I tried to get asparagus there once and they weren't carrying it, so I went to the store and bought some for way too much money.
Anyway, I got all of this stuff for about $10. If I had gone to a regular grocery store, I'm sure it would have been more.

Is this from Banana Joes? Good store, not much organic, but it can always be washed. Prices are great and they often have 'freebies' up front.
It's not Banana Joes, it's a fruit/veg stand on Grafton Street in Worcester.
My mom used to bring us there all the time. I hadn't been in many years but I went last week and scored a bag of bananas and a bag of mushrooms for less than 2 bucks. Sweeeeeet. I think I will ride my bike there tmrrw :)
